Ordus Property is run by Ordus Property Pty Ltd in New South Wales, Australia. This page answers common questions about Ordus on the web and the Ordus app for iPhone and Android.

Contact us

Email hello@ordusproperty.com.au with a question, a problem or feedback about the website or the app. If something in the app is not working, tell us what kind of phone you have, the version shown at the bottom of Me, and what happened.

Is it free?

Yes. The website, the app and the account are free, and the app has no purchases.

Signing in

In the app you can continue with Apple (on iPhone), continue with Google, or ask for a sign-in link by email. There is no password. A sign-in link works once and expires after 15 minutes. If the email does not arrive, check your spam or junk folder, then ask for a new link.

Once you are signed in, the app keeps you signed in until you sign out in Me, or until it goes 90 days without being used.

Where your saved homes and suburbs are kept

Homes you save, your watchlist, your recent searches and your conversations with Ordy are kept on your phone, not on our servers. They do not move to another phone, and deleting the app removes them.

Two things are kept with your account, so they come back when you sign in on another phone: the suburbs, council areas and postcodes you pick when you first open the app, and the homes you record as visited. Changes you make to your watchlist after that stay on the phone where you made them.

Visits and the Monday wrap-up

When you tap "I'm at this open" on a home's page, or photograph a for-sale sign in Ordy, the home is listed under Visited in Me. On Monday we email you a list of the homes you visited the week before. You can remove a visit in Me, and turn the email off under Monday wrap-up in Me or from the link in the email.

The app can also send a notification when the email goes out. It asks first, and you can turn notifications off in Me or in your phone's settings.

Where the figures come from

  • Sales: recorded NSW property sales since 1990, from the NSW Valuer General, with re-issued duplicate records removed.
  • Medians: one median over every sale in the last 12 months, for houses, units or all sales. Growth compares the same window a year earlier.
  • Days on market and listings: how many homes are for sale in a suburb and how long they take to sell, from listings tracked on agency websites through the day.
  • Estimates: built from the home's own sales and similar homes nearby, and always shown with a range and a confidence level. An estimate is a model's output, not a valuation.

Ordy, the assistant in the app, looks these figures up each time you ask. The prices, medians and estimates in its answers come from these records, not from the AI model that writes the sentences. Ordus covers New South Wales. The methodology explains how each figure is worked out.

Nothing in Ordus is financial advice. See the terms of use.

A figure looks wrong

Email us the address or the suburb and what you expected to see. Sales take weeks to settle and be recorded, so the latest months fill in over time and recent figures can move.

Deleting your account

In the app, open Me and choose Delete account. On the web, without the app, go to ordusproperty.com.au/delete-account. You confirm by typing your email address. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone, and we send one email to confirm it.

Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account. The privacy policy lists what is deleted and what is kept.
